GLP-1 Weight Loss Solutions at Variations of Beauty Wellness
GLP-1 receptor agonists have changed what medically supervised weight loss can achieve. At Variations of Beauty Aesthetics & Wellness in Brandon, Florida, we use Semaglutide and Tirzepatide inside a structured program — not as a standalone shortcut.

What GLP-1 medications actually do
GLP-1 is a hormone your gut releases after eating. It signals fullness to the brain, slows how quickly the stomach empties and helps the pancreas regulate insulin. GLP-1 receptor agonists are medications that mimic that hormone at a much longer duration of action.
The practical effect is that meals satisfy you sooner, cravings quiet down and the constant mental chatter about food — what many clients call food noise — fades. That makes the nutrition changes you already know you should make far easier to sustain.
Semaglutide vs. Tirzepatide
Semaglutide acts on the GLP-1 receptor alone. Tirzepatide is a dual agonist, acting on both GLP-1 and GIP receptors, and in clinical trials produced greater average weight reduction.
Published trials report average total body weight reductions of roughly 15% with Semaglutide and up to approximately 20% with Tirzepatide over 68 to 72 weeks when combined with lifestyle intervention. Individual results vary with starting weight, adherence, dose tolerance and metabolic health.
- Semaglutide: single GLP-1 receptor agonist, weekly injection
- Tirzepatide: dual GLP-1 and GIP agonist, weekly injection
- Both are titrated upward slowly to limit side effects
What side effects to expect
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal: nausea, constipation, diarrhea, reflux and fatigue. They are usually strongest in the days after a dose increase and settle as your body adapts.
Slow titration, smaller meals, adequate protein, hydration and avoiding high-fat meals all reduce symptoms considerably. GLP-1 medications are not recommended for anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2.
How our Brandon program works
Your program begins with a free 15-minute consultation followed by a full clinical intake: health history, medications, weight history and goals. If a GLP-1 is appropriate, we prescribe it, train you on injection technique and set a titration schedule.
From there we monitor. Regular check-ins track weight, side effects and lifestyle progress so dosing can be adjusted rather than guessed at. Many clients add a Skinny Drip or Lipo-Mino injection for metabolic support along the way.
