What is a med spa and how is it different from a day spa?

A med spa offers medical-grade treatments — injectables, IV therapy, prescription weight loss — performed or supervised by a licensed medical provider. A day spa offers relaxation services only. At Variations of Beauty, every treatment is delivered by a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. All services are by appointment so we can dedicate the time your treatment deserves. Book online through our Jane portal or call or text 813-586-4445.

What are your hours?

Monday through Thursday 6:00pm–10:00pm, Friday 6:00pm–12:00am, and Saturday and Sunday 24 hours by appointment only.

Do you accept insurance?

No, we do not bill health insurance. We accept HSA and FSA funds, all major credit cards, cash, CareCredit, Cherry and Afterpay.

Is there a consultation fee?

Medical weight loss includes a free 15-minute consultation. For other services, a brief health review is included at the start of your appointment.

How far in advance should I book?

Evening slots fill quickly. Booking one to two weeks ahead is recommended, though same-week openings are common.

Can I combine IV therapy with injectables in one visit?

Often yes. Your nurse practitioner will confirm the sequence is safe for you and plan the visit accordingly.

How does the referral program work?

Refer a friend and save $25 toward any service once they complete their service. Credits stack up to three times for a maximum $75 value.

Are treatments safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Injectables and most weight loss medications are not appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Our prenatal/postnatal IV is designed for expecting and nursing mothers with OBGYN approval.

What should I do before my appointment?

Accepted Answer

Hydrate well, eat something beforehand, and avoid alcohol and blood-thinning supplements for 24 hours if you're having injectables. Bring a list of your current medications.
